Starting off as a film script, Happy Ever After has been rewritten as a Laughing Monkey stageplay (staged successfully in November 2007 at The Norwich Puppet Theatre), and has now been recorded as an audio play.

In their fight against gangland crime, DI Baker and DS Lake are faced with a serious problem when crook Johnny Wolf is found murdered. Can they believe the claim of their three suspects - Ma Hood, her grand-daughter Red and an axe-wielding woodcutter called Alex - that they acted in self-defence? And how does it tie into the disappearance of the three little pigs, who vanished on the verge of a massive property deal?
One thing is sure: when Johnny's uncle, notorious mafia boss Wolf (as in, the big bad ...), finds out about the slaughter of his dear nephew, someone's going to pay ... though nothing and nobody are what they seem ...
